SlabLens Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SlabLens, including our Chrome browser extension, web application located at slablens.app (or any successor URL), and all related services (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is provided by Lomuse LLC ("Lomuse," "we," "our," or "us").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date above indicates when these Terms were last changed. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such notice constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

The Service is currently available only in the United States. You may not use the Service from any jurisdiction where its use would be prohibited by law.

2. Accounts and Authentication

You must create an account to use the Service. Account creation and authentication are handled through third-party authentication providers. By creating an account, you authorize us to access limited profile information (such as your name and email address) from the authentication provider as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You may not share your account or allow others to access the Service through your account. You must promptly notify us at bulba.lomuse@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, including if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.

3. Description of the Service

SlabLens is an AI-powered tool that analyzes images of trading cards from online marketplace listings to provide estimated condition grades on a 1–10 scale. The Service also includes a community grading feature where users may submit their own grades for listings.

The Service is available as a Chrome browser extension (distributed through the Chrome Web Store) and as a web application.

4. AI Analysis Disclaimer

THE AI-GENERATED GRADES PROVIDED BY SLABLENS ARE ESTIMATES ONLY AND ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL APPRAISALS. The grades are produced by third-party artificial intelligence models and are intended for informational and entertainment purposes only. They should not be relied upon as the sole basis for any purchasing, selling, or investment decisions.

AI analysis results may be inaccurate, inconsistent, or incomplete. Card condition assessment is inherently subjective, and automated analysis has significant limitations compared to hands-on expert evaluation. We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any AI-generated grade.

You acknowledge and agree that Lomuse shall not be liable for any financial loss or other damages resulting from reliance on AI-generated grades. AI grades do not constitute professional appraisals, financial advice, or investment advice. We strongly recommend consulting professional grading services before making significant purchasing or investment decisions based on card condition.

The Service does not verify the authenticity, legality, condition, or quality of any trading cards, listings, or products displayed within the Service. Lomuse makes no representations regarding the accuracy of any listing information obtained from third-party platforms.

5. Community Grades and User-Generated Content

The Service allows you to submit condition grades for trading card listings. By submitting a grade, you grant Lomuse a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, display, aggregate, and distribute your submitted grades in connection with the Service.

Community grades are displayed as aggregate statistics (such as averages) to all users. Individual user-submitted grades may or may not be attributed to specific users at our discretion. Lomuse does not verify, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy of any community-submitted grades. Community grades represent the opinions of individual users and should not be relied upon as authoritative assessments of card condition or value.

You agree not to submit grades that are intentionally inaccurate, misleading, or designed to manipulate aggregate results. We reserve the right to remove any user-submitted grades and to suspend or terminate the accounts of users who abuse the community grading feature.

6. Subscriptions, Billing, and Search Balances

Search Balances

The Service uses a search-based usage model. Each AI analysis of a card listing consumes one search from your balance. The Service offers a free tier with a limited number of searches and one or more paid subscription tiers with additional searches. Details about available tiers, search limits, and pricing are displayed within the Service and may change from time to time.

Free searches are granted as a lifetime balance. We may change the rate at which new free searches are earned or granted going forward. If you upgrade to a paid tier, any remaining free searches are preserved as a separate lifetime balance. Paid monthly searches are consumed first; once depleted, searches draw from your lifetime free balance.

Unused paid monthly searches do not roll over to the next billing cycle.

Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through a third-party payment processor. By subscribing to a paid tier, you authorize us to charge the payment method you provide on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.

You are responsible for keeping your payment information current. If a payment fails, we may suspend your access to paid features until the payment issue is resolved.

Cancellation

You may cancel your paid subscription at any time through your account settings using the same method you used to subscribe. Cancellation will be processed promptly, and you will receive a confirmation of cancellation by email.

Upon cancellation, you will retain access to your paid tier features through the end of your current billing period. After that, your account will revert to the Free tier.

If we make material changes to your subscription (such as a price increase), we will provide advance notice and, where required by law, an opportunity to cancel before the changes take effect.

Refunds

All subscription payments are generally non-refundable.

7. Referral Program

The Service may offer a referral program that allows users to share referral codes with others. When a new user subscribes using a valid referral code, the new subscriber may receive a discount on their subscription.

Referral codes are for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not post referral codes on coupon or deal websites, purchase advertising to promote your referral code, or engage in any form of spam to distribute your code. We reserve the right to revoke referral benefits and terminate accounts for abuse of the referral program.

If you promote your referral code publicly (including on social media, blogs, videos, or any other public platform), you must clearly and conspicuously disclose your material connection to SlabLens—specifically, that you may receive a benefit if others use your code. This disclosure must comply with applicable Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials, and any other applicable advertising or consumer protection laws.

8. Affiliate Links

Links to third-party marketplace listings within the Service may contain affiliate tracking. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, Lomuse may earn a commission from the applicable marketplace or affiliate network.

The use of affiliate links does not affect the price you pay for any item. Affiliate commissions are paid by the third-party marketplace or network to Lomuse and do not result in any additional cost to you.

The inclusion of affiliate links does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation of any particular listing, seller, or product. You are solely responsible for your purchasing decisions on any third-party platform.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on and integrates with third-party services, including but not limited to third-party platforms for listing data and images, authentication providers, payment processors, cloud infrastructure providers, and AI providers for card analysis.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or reliability of any third-party service. Changes to third-party services, APIs, or terms may affect the functionality or availability of the Service. We disclaim all liability for any disruption, data loss, or other issues arising from third-party services.

Your use of third-party services is governed by those services' respective terms of service and privacy policies.

The Service, including its design, features, code, graphics, logos, and all related intellectual property, is owned by Lomuse LLC and is protected by United States and international intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except as permitted by law.

"SlabLens" and the SlabLens logo are trademarks of Lomuse LLC. You may not use these marks without our prior written permission.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and share your information. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof), including any features, tier structures, or pricing, at any time. Except as required by applicable law, we are not liable to you for any such modifications, suspensions, or discontinuations.

We will provide you with reasonable advance notice of material changes to the Service that affect your paid subscription, including price increases or significant reductions in features, except where changes are required to comply with law, maintain security, or prevent abuse. Where required by applicable law, we will provide any advance notice, renewal reminders, or cancellation rights mandated by your jurisdiction before such changes take effect.

Modifications to free-tier features, search balance grants, and non-subscription aspects of the Service may be made at our discretion. However, any free search balances already credited to your account at the time of a change will be honored and will not be revoked or reduced retroactively.

14. No Investment Advice

Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, legal, or professional advice. Trading cards may fluctuate in value, and past performance or condition assessments are not indicative of future value. You are solely responsible for your own purchasing, selling, and investment decisions. Lomuse shall not be liable for any financial losses arising from decisions made in connection with the Service.

15. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Without limiting the foregoing, Lomuse does not warrant that: (a) the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure; (b) AI-generated grades will be accurate or reliable; (c) any defects will be corrected; or (d) the Service will meet your expectations or requirements.

Trading card grading is inherently subjective. Grades provided by the Service, whether AI-generated or community-submitted, are opinions and estimates, not definitive assessments of condition or value.

16. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LOMUSE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE TOTAL LIABILITY OF LOMUSE FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) $50 OR (B) THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO LOMUSE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OR ALL OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lomuse and its officers, directors, members, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any rights of another party; or (d) any content you submit through the Service, including community grades.

18. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service that cannot be resolved informally shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Michigan. You consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

Before filing any formal claim, you agree to first contact us at bulba.lomuse@gmail.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

19. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

You may terminate your account at any time by ceasing use of the Service and contacting us at bulba.lomuse@gmail.com to request account deletion.

The following sections will survive any termination of these Terms: AI Analysis Disclaimer, Community Grades and User-Generated Content (license grant), Affiliate Links, Intellectual Property, No Investment Advice, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law and Dispute Resolution, and this Termination section.

20. Chrome Web Store

The SlabLens Chrome extension is distributed through the Google Chrome Web Store. Your use of the Chrome extension is also subject to the Google Chrome Web Store Terms of Service. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the Chrome Web Store Terms of Service, the Chrome Web Store Terms of Service will govern with respect to the Chrome extension.

21. General Provisions

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Lomuse regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.

We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without your consent. You may not assign your rights or obligations without our prior written consent.
